AI for Teaching & Learning

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is profoundly reshaping education at all levels of learning.  In IHEs the challenge for faculty is a double edged sword.  On one edge is the need to find time to invest in learning to use AI for scholarship and teaching, and on the other edge is the need to keep abreast with how students are using the tools, worrying about how do we know when they are using them, are they using them ethically?  More importantly, does the use of AI tools set the stage for students becoming shallow learners who circumvent the deeper learning processes that will support their lifelong learning and ability to make critical decisions in their future professional roles?  This resource page will emphasize  both the opportunities and challenges AI presents for faculty, offering actionable insights for stakeholders in academia, policy-making, and technology development.
